Case Study
Amsource
Objectives
Leading tech recruiter Amsource had become aware that their website wasn’t delivering the correct visual messaging needed to effectively communicate with their target audience so the company approached 1721 Studio about a brand refresh.
Strategy
After reviewing their position within their industry sector and reflecting their visual identity against this, we concluded that if we were to embark on a new website design, we should reset their branding and visual identity first.

Disruptive new identity
During our research and consultation with Amsource, we agreed a new direction for the brand. Key words and phrases such as ‘California’, ‘Local but Global’, ’New Tech’ and ‘Urban’ would set our direction of travel.
We wanted the brand to feel fresh and dynamic, using imagery that avoided the standard corporate environment and poses, instead to feel almost as if it was a moment captured and shared.
We chose bold and bright colours that would indicate a youthful, energetic twist to the brand. The colours also feel fresh, coastal and warm, juxtaposed and calmed with black and white, natural imagery.
Break from the expected
So that Amsource could effectively surprise visually, the logotype that was developed had a hand-drawn feel, almost graffiti-like. This would be complimented by a title font and be used across their literature.
Once the brand was created we moved swiftly onto the digital delivery of the website design. As part of the website design, we also looked at the Amsource ‘Edison’ talent management solution and implemented a refresh of its visual identity.

"We were recommended Neil as we looked to undertake a complete brand and website redesign. We couldn't be happier with the results and the process. Neil and his team understood the brief clearly and their approach was open and flexible. As with any project of this nature there were bumps along the way, and Neil couldn't have been more accommodating to assist and make changes. Thanks Neil!"
